Bowling: A Real Sport

In high school I was on the Bowling Team.  That’s right folks, a real athlete.  So maybe that’s why I love this Bowling Buddies Set from miYim so much.  I was instantly drawn to it and it has been probably the most successful gift I’ve given (highly recommend it for folks in need of a gift to give).  The kids I get it for absolutely love it.  And the parents like the fact that it is not only adorable, but healthy, being made of 100% Organic Cotton.

As a side note, I’ve got this set mastered, and the bowling on the lanes that happens while wearing the funny looking shoes.  But I still can’t get the hang of Wii bowling.  My 6 year old niece absolutely crushed me not too long ago.  It’s normally not that hard for me to lose to the kids (I am guilty of throwing a game of Go Fish or Red Light Green Light 1, 2, 3).  But bowling is a horse of a different color.  I have to keep up my street credibility people.  What would my high school teammates, the Strike Masters, say if they found out I lost my touch?

When my niece asked me to stop “letting her win” I let her know that I was not throwing the game and was actually trying.  She paused the game, came over and hugged me saying, “Don’t worry Uncle Joey.  Just keep practicing.”  Yes, my pride was hurt a bit, but my heart was all the much more in love with that little cutie.
